# How long do you store post?

# Common Questions

**What happens to mail if my account is cancelled or inactive?**
We cannot accept, process, or store mail for cancelled or inactive accounts. Any post received during an inactive period is automatically returned to the sender and is not logged, scanned, or held.

**Does the 30 days start from when the mail arrives or when it’s processed?**
From the date the letter is processed in the portal.

**Can I extend the storage period?**
No. The 30-day policy applies to all accounts.

**What happens to digitised copies?**
Scanned copies remain accessible under the **Mail** tab in your Customer Portal beyond the 30-day physical retention period.
