# Service Activation & Ongoing Compliance

> ⚡ **Quick Answer:** Your service is activated once all KYC/AML verification checks are complete. This typically takes **up to one business day** from when all documents are uploaded.

# Before Activation

> ⚠️ **Important:** Until all checks are complete, your virtual office or registered address service remains **inactive**. Mail received before activation is held securely.

2. Your account and address services are **activated**
3. Mail services and notifications begin as per your chosen plan

We are legally required to keep customer information up to date and monitor activity.

If your subscription was set up via Tide:

* The service depends on your Tide agreement — if you stop the add-on or close Tide, the service ends
* Tide-managed accounts **cannot be reactivated or transferred** to a direct Hoxton Mix account
