Proof of Address

Quick Answer: You need a document showing your full name and residential address, dated within the last 3 months (council tax, tenancy/mortgage and HMRC/DWP letters are accepted within a longer window — see below). Upload it through the secure Veriff link.

Why It’s Required

Under UK Money Laundering Regulations, we must verify the residential address of every PSC or UBO using our services. All verification is carried out securely through Veriff.

How Verification Works

  1. Upload your proof of address via Veriff when prompted
  2. Document is checked for clarity, authenticity, and valid issuer
  3. If further review is needed, submissions are processed in queue order
  4. Once approved, your address is recorded in our secure CDD files

Verification usually takes 24–48 hours after submission.

Tips for Fast Approval

  • Upload a clear colour image or PDF showing all edges and dates
  • Ensure the document shows your full name, address, and date
  • Use recent official statements (less than 3 months for priority documents)
  • Use paperless PDF statements where available

Common Questions

Can I use a driving licence?

No. Driving licences are accepted as proof of ID only, not proof of address.

Why isn’t a UK photocard driving licence accepted as proof of address?

Although a photocard driving licence shows your address, it is treated as a personal identification document rather than proof of address for AML checks. Proof of address must come from a third-party issuer such as a bank, utility provider, council, landlord, HMRC, or another official institution.

My document is from outside the UK — is that OK?

Yes, as long as it clearly shows your residential address and meets the date requirements.

What if my document is rejected?

Check that it clearly shows your full name, residential address, and a visible date. Upload a new copy that meets the requirements.
