Companies and Organisations We Don’t Work With
To ensure regulatory compliance, operational neutrality, and the safety of our staff and customers, The Hoxton Mix does not provide services to certain categories of organisations.
This policy applies consistently and irrespective of political affiliation, ideology, or the lawfulness of the activity concerned.
If an organisation falls within any of the categories below, we may refuse onboarding or terminate services in line with our Terms and Conditions.
Political Organisations
The Hoxton Mix is a politically neutral service provider.
We do not provide services to:
- Political parties, political movements, or political organisations in any jurisdiction
- Organisations established primarily for political campaigning, political advocacy, or political fundraising
- Candidates for public office, elected officials, or political office-holders where our services would be used in connection with political activity
- Any organisation where political activity forms a primary or material part of its purpose or operations
This restriction applies regardless of political viewpoint or affiliation.
Financial Crime, Fraud, and Sanctions Risk
We do not work with organisations or individuals that:
- Are subject to UK, UN, EU, or other applicable financial sanctions or asset-freezing measures
- Are reasonably suspected of involvement in fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, tax evasion, or other financial crime
- Use complex or opaque ownership structures designed to conceal beneficial ownership
- Cannot demonstrate a credible and lawful business purpose
High-Risk or Restricted Business Activities
Unless explicitly approved following enhanced due diligence, we do not provide services to:
- Unregulated investment schemes or collective investment arrangements
- Money service businesses (MSBs), payment intermediaries, or currency exchange services without appropriate regulatory authorisation
- Cryptocurrency exchanges, brokers, custodians, or token issuers
- Gambling, gaming, or betting operators that are not properly licensed in their operating jurisdiction
Extremism, Hate, or Harm
We do not provide services to any organisation or individual that:
- Promotes, supports, or is associated with extremism, terrorism, hate speech, or violence
- Is designated by, or reasonably considered to present, a risk to public safety or social cohesion
Misuse of Address or Services
We do not allow our address or services to be used for:
- Misleading representations of physical presence or operational capacity
- Regulatory, licensing, or electoral purposes where a genuine staffed office is required
- Vehicle registration, export documentation, or customs declarations
- Any activity intended to misrepresent the nature, location, or legitimacy of a business
Legal and Structural Restrictions
We do not generally onboard:
- Estates in administration
- Trusts or similar arrangements without prior written approval following enhanced due diligence
- Organisations that fail to satisfy our onboarding, Know Your Customer (KYC), or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
Our Right to Refuse or Terminate Services
The Hoxton Mix reserves the right to refuse onboarding or terminate services where an organisation falls within any of the categories above, or where continuing to provide services would conflict with our legal, regulatory, or operational obligations.
In some cases, we may be unable to provide detailed reasons for refusal or termination where doing so would compromise those obligations.
