The button to "View My Mail" in email notifications opens Microsoft Edge. How do I change this?

Quick answer: To change links in your email from opening in Microsoft Edge, update your Windows default browser settings. If you are using Microsoft 365 apps like Outlook or Teams, you may also need to adjust their internal link preferences so they respect your system settings.

Step 1: Change Your Windows Default Browser

  1. Press Win + I to open the Windows Settings app. Or click on **Start **and select the **settings **icon (the cog)
  2. Click on Apps on the left menu, then select Default apps.
  3. Search for the browser you want to use (e.g., Google Chrome or Brave) and click Set default.
  4. Still in the Default apps menu, click Choose defaults by link type or Choose default apps by protocol.
  5. Scroll down to HTTP and HTTPS, click on whatever is listed next to them, and select your preferred browser.
