What about mail addressed to me personally?

Quick Answer: Our address is for business mail only. Mail must be addressed to your registered company or business name. We do not accept personal mail without a business connection. Director mail is accepted if you have the Director's Service Address add-on.

💡 Tip: Always include your company name as the first line of the address to ensure correct routing.

Name Variations

Name variations are generally matched to your account. Mail addressed using shortened names or with middle names omitted will not usually cause an issue.

For example:

  • Jonathan Procter matches even if your registered name includes middle names
  • A. J. Ong and Ai Joon Ong can both be linked to the same account

Director's Service Address (Full Privacy Service)

If you're a company director, the Director's Service Address add-on ensures mail addressed to you by name in your capacity as director is received and processed by our team.

It also keeps your home address off the Companies House public register.

Pricing: £3/month or £30/year per director/UBO (+ VAT). This is an optional add-on — not included in the base Virtual Office London plan.

Personal Mail

We do not provide personal mail forwarding. If you need personal mail redirected to a new address, use Royal Mail's redirection service.

Common Questions

Can I receive HMRC letters addressed to me as a director?

Yes — if you have the Director's Service Address add-on. Otherwise, ask HMRC to address mail to your company name.

What happens to personal mail sent to my virtual office?

Mail with no business connection will be returned to sender.

Do I need to tell senders to use my company name?

Yes. Including your company name ensures correct routing. While name variations are matched where possible, company name is the most reliable.
